IMLAY CITY — The Imlay City varsity volleyball team wound up with a 1-3-1 mark last Saturday at the Bad Axe Invitational.
Imlay City started things off with a 12-25, 23-25 pool play loss to Midland. That was followed by a 12-25, 10-25 setback to Cass City; and a 25-23, 20-25 loss to Millington.
Those results placed Imlay City in the Silver Bracket where they earned a 15-25, 25-20, 15-1 semifinal win against North Huron.
They then dropped an 18-25, 25-27 championship outcome to Deckerville.
Baylee Wetzel (47 assists and 26 service points, including 10 aces), Abigail Thibodeau (31 digs and 23 service points), Katie Evans (30 digs), Emma Sellers (21 kills and two solo blocks), Ryle Dingwell (11 kills) and Jaya Forti (10 kills) registered Imlay City’s top credentials.
