Paul Iloncai, Sr., age 79, of National City, MI, died Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Covenant Transitional Health Facility in Saginaw, MI. Paul Frederick Iloncai, Sr. was born November 11, 1939 in Detroit, MI. He was the son of the late Paul and the late Mary (Hutzel) Iloncai. Paul grew up in Imlay City. He was a graduate of Imlay City High School, Class of 1958. He married Vera Elaine Robbins In November 1959. They lived in Imlay City and Hale, before moving to National City, MI where he’s lived for the past 30 years. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Vera.
He was employed as a journeyman electrician by General Motors – Buick City in Flint, MI, for 33 years before retiring. Paul was a charter member of the Imlay City Eagles and a leader of the Lum Boy Scout Troop 140.
He is survived by his long-time companion, Gerre Duncan of National City, MI; two daughters, Elaine (Jerome) Wilson of Spartanburg, SC and Mary (David) Sterling of Scotland; two sons, Paul (Alice) Iloncai, Jr. of Vassar, MI and Richard (Dee) Iloncai of Lapeer, MI; his brother, Karl (Sandy) Iloncai of Imlay City, MI; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mary Iloncai; and his infant sister, Mary Ann Iloncai.
Cremation has taken place.
A memorial is not being planned at this time.
