Thelma Jean Spiller, 88, of Capac, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, August 8, 2019, at McLaren Port Huron Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
She was born February 10, 1931, in Detroit, MI, daughter of the late Paul and Verna (Graham) Struck.
Thelma Jean married George Otto Spiller on August 2, 1949.
Jean enjoyed every minute spent with her family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed painting, drawing, puzzles, and sewing. She leaves behind 88 years of wonderful memories that will be remembered, cherished, and celebrated by her family for eternity.
Surviving in addition to her loving husband George of 70 years are her children, George (Mary) Spiller of Yale, Douglas (Joan) Spiller of Port Charlotte, FL, Marsha (Paul) Libkie of Capac, Joanne Spiller of Capac and Jane (Daniel) Smith of Kenockee Township; 15 grandchildren, Aaron, David, Andrea, Emily, Kammelle, Roy, Amanda, Jennifer, Meghan, Thomas, Sean, Joshua, Lindsey, Tracy and Daniel; 23 great-grandchildren, Josef, Lainey, Jonah, Benjamin, Micah, Ilah, Arwen, Braden, Madison, Otto, Louella, Ashlynn, Eleanor, Ellowyn, Emerson, Jonah, Arthur, Jameson, Chase, Riley, Gracie, Avery and Boone; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Lea; a sister, Bernice Rauhauser; and a beloved aunt, Ima Graham.
A funeral service was held Sunday, August 11, 2019, at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Capac. Pastor David Webb officiated. Interment took place at Elmwood Cemetery in Yale.
