, 97, passed away peacefully in Sarasota, Florida on July 2, 2019 with his wife by his side.
He was originally from Imlay City, Michigan. Born in Detroit on October 27, 1921 to Harry Henry Diehl and Mildred Barnes Diehl. He married Charlotte Copp on May 30th, 1997. He graduated from Michigan State University and served in the US Army. He was shot in Germany and received a purple heart. He was a pilot and loved to fly his own airplanes.
Harry owned Harry Diehl Motor Sales in Imlay City, MI and was Magistrate for the 71A District Court. He was actively involved in the community including the VFW and Almont Hospital Board.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, five step-children, niece Pamela Huntington and nephew Martin Bergland.
He was preceded in death by his sister Sarah Kitzmiller of Rochester Hills, MI.
A memorial will be held in Imlay City, MI at a later date.
