Cherie Kalbfleisch, age 92, of Dryden, Michigan died Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at her home. Cherie Ann Hagemeister was born April 12, 1927 in Imlay City, MI. She is the daughter of the late Harry and the late Viola (Hardenburg) Hagemeister. Cherie grew up and lived most of her life in Dryden. She attended Blacks Corners Country School in Imlay Twp. And Dryden High School. Cherie married Roland Kalbfleisch on July 14, 1962 in Flint, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland, on September 17, 2004.
She was mostly a homemaker, raising her family. Cherie held several different jobs through the years: the Dryden Mushroom Farm, retail sales, hairdresser, and a waitress.
Cherie was a member of the Dryden Wesleyan Church.
She is survived by: one daughter: Rhonda (Brian) McBride of Mount Airy, Georgia and one son: James (Svetlana) Bush of Jenison, MI; sister: Sharon (Ingemar) Mathiasson of Ambler, Alaska; three grandchildren: Vicki (Bob) Highland of Hudsonville, MI, Thomas (Heather) McBride of Ohio, and Lucas McBride of Georgia; three great-grandchildren: Angel, Max, and Conall. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Cherie was preceded in death by: husband: Roland Kalbfleisch; daughter: Carol Bush; and her three sisters: Colleen Dale, Patricia Barrios, and Norma Peck.
The Memorial Service will be held 12:00 noon, Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI. Reverend Nathan Bills will officiate. A procession to Dryden Center Cemetery, Dryden, MI will follow.
