Timothy “Tim” Abbott, age 57, of Attica, MI died suddenly Sunday, June 23, 2019 at his home. Timothy James Abbott was born January 11, 1962 in Wyandotte, MI. He was the son of the late Claude and the late Jean (Cummings) Abbott Myers. Tim grew up in Pontiac. He moved to the Imlay City area in the early 1970s. Tim attended Imlay City High School and was a Class of 1980 graduate. He went on to earn his Master’s degree in statistical engineering from Villanova University in Indiana. Tim was employed as a set-up and start-up engineer for various electrical manufacturing companies throughout his career: Medtronic of Arizona, Jabil of Michigan, Kimball Electronics of Jasper, IN, Toggled of MI, Dura Automotive of Auburn Hills, MI, and E.O.I. of Dundee, MI.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling.
Tim is survived by his only daughter, Gina Abbott, recently of Flagstaff, AZ; one sister, Mindy (Mark) Rogers of Attica, MI; two brothers, Mark (Karen) Abbott of St. Louis, MI and Wade (Sallie Wise) Myers of Imlay City, MI; and
several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Claude Abbott; and his mother, Jean (Lester Myers) Myers.
The funeral was held Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI.
