John “Jonny” A. Osmulski, 54, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2019, in his home.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Allen Osmulski.
He is survived by his mother, Marilyn J. Love; his sister, Tammy (Osmulski) Cummings; his brother-in-law, Mike Cummings; his nieces, Brandy (Mark) LaLond, Brittany Cummings and Stephanie (Ben) Singh; his nephew, Mike (Pam) Cummings; 9 great-nieces and great-nephews; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his dear friend/his “brother from another mother,” Rick.
Jonny was born in Grosse Pointe, MI on February 1, 1965. He grew up in Hazel Park and spent much of his youth on the baseball field. He loved playing baseball and worked hard to become great, having won many awards for his talents. Jonny was an avid bowler, and as with other endeavors, worked hard and became a force on the lanes, winning many awards for his prowess.
Jonny worked as a cutter/binder before moving to Capac eight years ago, where he began working as a handyman. Jonny took great pride in his work and was known to be a perfectionist in what he did. He worked at restoring items for pleasure and for hire and he loved it.
When Jonny moved to Capac, he became instrumental in improving and maintaining the old family homestead on which his great-great-grandfather was raised. Jonny was loved by all who knew him, the world is a better place for him having been in it.
A memorial will be held at the family homestead he loved on Saturday, July 27, 2019.
