Spartan girls run past Almont and Cros-Lex
TRI-CITY AREA — The Imlay City and Almont girls’ track teams wound up with 2-0 and 0-2 marks, respectively, in Blue Water Area Conference action last Thursday.
Cros-Lex High school is where the meet was contested.
Pitted against Almont, Imlay City posted a 109-28 win.

Mary Lengemann, high jump, 5 feet 2 inches; Robin LeFevere, long jump (16 feet 5 inches) plus the 200 (26.64 seconds) and 400 (1:01.9) dashes; Sophia Rosillo, shot put, 28 feet 10 3/4 inches; Jillian LeFevere, 100 dash, 13.24 seconds; Carlee Forsyth, 300-meter hurdles, 54.9 seconds; Jessica Denver, 800 (2:32.79) and 1600 (5:35.08) runs; along with Ana Lengemann, 3200-meter run, 12:43.59; supplied Imlay City’s individual event firsts versus Almont.
The Imlay City 400 (Jillian LeFevere, Layla Dalecke, McKinzie Winget and Forsyth), 800 (Jillian LeFevere, Robin LeFevere, Winget and Forsyth), 1600 Sarah Hubbard, Aubrie Behrick, Winget and Denver) and 3200 (Ana Lengemann, Mary Lengemann, Denver and Hubbard) relays also prevailed. They managed respective clockings of 53.53 seconds, 1:50, 4:25.4 and 10:30.93 en route.
Autumn Kwierant, pole vault, 7 feet 6 inches; Ashley Santo, discus, 87 feet 6 inches; and Hailee McKinney, 100-meter hurdles, 17.53 seconds; had Almont’s firsts.
Imlay City also faced Cros-Lex that day, prevailing via a 73-64 count.

In the day’s other dual, Almont dropped a 106-31 verdict to Cros-Lex.
