Sharonda Benson, age 40, of Imlay City, MI died Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Henry Ford Macomb Medical Center of Clinton Twp., MI. Sharonda Michelle Benson was
born January 2, 1979 in Detroit, MI. She was the daughter of Patrick and Valerie (Blankenship) Benson.
Sharonda grew up in Imlay City. She was a student in Imlay City and at the Lapeer County Intermediate School District and Lapeer Community Mental Health – Stepping Stones program. Sharonda is survived by her parents, Patrick and Valerie Benson of Imlay City; sisters, Kristin (Lonny) Hill of Imlay City, MI, Erin (Micheal) Spicer of Swartz Creek, MI and Tyreena (Curtis Smith) Benson of North Branch, MI; brothers, Hayes Benson of Imlay City, MI, Seth (Katie Rossman) Benson of Brown City, MI, Robert (Rachel) Benson of Lapeer, MI and Isaiah Benson of Imlay City, MI. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews; and one great-niece.
Sharonda was preceded in death by her brother, Jamar Benson in 2002.
The funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 3, 2019 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI. Pastor Tom Blount of the Heritage Church of Imlay City will officiate. Burial will follow in Imlay Township Cemetery, Imlay City, MI.
The family will be available for visiting during the hours from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2019 and from 10-11:30 a.m. Friday, May 3, 2019 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI.
