TRI-CITY AREA — Capac turned back Dryden, 13-1, in a non-league varsity softball confrontation last Wednesday.
With the result, Capac goes to 2-1 overall. Dryden slips to 2-1 this season.
Aubree Smith and Skylar Schocke led Capac with three singles apiece. Ally Dean and Shelby Husovsky followed with two singles each. Madison Wheeler and Meriah Mason (a double apiece) also reached the hitting column for the Chiefs.
Alyssa Orlando was the winning Capac pitcher. She allowed six hits, struck out four and walked none.
Courtney Heike and Ally Sobek paced Dryden’s offensive attack with two hits each. Natalie Embree and Miya Wolf added a single apiece to the Cardinals’ cause.
