TRI-CITY AREA — It’s time to get hunting for Easter eggs! Local organizations and churches are hosting hunts and visits with the Easter bunny in the coming weeks.

What follows is a listing of events provided to us as of April 9:

•Woodside Bible Church will host an egg hunt on the grounds of the Historic Courthouse in downtown Lapeer on April 13 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The free event includes inflatables and much more. For more information, visit the church’s Facebook page.

•The Capac Lion’s Club and Capac Chamber of Commerce annual Easter egg hunt, originally slated for Sunday, April 14, at 1 p.m. at the baseball/soccer fields, HAS BEEN RE-SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY, APRIL 13 AT 1 P.M., due to the weather forecast.

•In Dryden, the Dryden Library, Veda’s Uniques and the Crafty Vine will host an Easter Egg Hunt on April 13 with free activities for kids ages 1-12 starting at 1 p.m. Pre-registration is required by April 11.

This Sunday, the Dryden Township Fire Department hosts a pancake dinner and pictures with the Easter bunny starting at 8 a.m. at the fire hall.

•In Berlin Township, their 21st Annual Easter Egg Hunt is slated for Sunday, April 14 starting at 2 p.m. at the township’s Memorial Park, 740 Capac Rd. Bring your own basket or bag. Juice, cookies and coffee will be served.

•Gateway Church is making plans for their Easter Eggsploration on April 20 at 11 a.m. at the Eastern Michigan State Fairgrounds in Imlay City. All kids, birth through 6th grade, are invited to attend this free event that will feature 40,000 Easter eggs and over 600 pounds of candy.

•Capac United Methodist Church will host a Community Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 20, doors open at 10 a.m. with the hunt starting at 10:30 a.m. For more information, call the church at 810-395-2112.

•The Almont Lions are making plans for their Easter celebration on April 20 at 11 a.m. at the Almont Community Park, Water Street.

The Easter bunny will make a grand entrance via helicopter that morning at 10:45 a.m.
