Raiders’ soccer squad kicks off its season with win at home

ALMONT — Almont earned a 4-0 win against visiting Roseville in a non-league girls’ soccer encounter last Wednesday.

With the outcome, Almont raises its mark to 1-0 this season.

McKenna Castillo led Almont with a pair of goals. Erika Bailey and Lindsey Wilson added a goal each to the Raiders’ cause.

Savannah Tormala and Aliyah Cremeans shared the goalkeeping responsibilities for the winning Almont side.

Kevin Kissane has been covering high school sports for the Tri-City Times since 1985. When not standing on a field or court with his camera and notepad, he enjoys golf, travel and family.
