Sharon Schriber, age 79, of Lum, MI died Friday, March 15, 2019 at Lapeer County Medical Care Facility (Suncrest) in Lapeer, MI. Sharon Gail Pool was born May 7, 1939 in Pontiac, MI. She was the daughter of the late Earl Lawrence and the late Majorie Ellen (Hyatt) Pool. Sharon grew up in Urbana, OH while she was young before moving back to Pontiac, MI. She attended high school in Pontiac, MI. Sharon moved to the Imlay City area around 1968. She married Robert E. Lee Schriber on August 23, 1978 in Onaway, MI.
She was employed as a secretary by Imlay City Fish Farm for 25 years. Sharon’s early work history included working at the 4H Cannery, working as a probation officer, working as a clerk at Grant’s Department Store in Lapeer, MI, and Lapeer Schools for a brief periods of time.
Sharon was a member of the North Goodland Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Schriber; four daughters, Cathy Shortsle of Mason, MI, Colleen (George) Crawford of Rathdrum, ID, Lawana (Barry) Craig of Somerset, KY and Cindy (Danny) Corneillie of Livingston, TX; one son, Chris Griffin of Deford, MI; her stepson, Robert (Joy) Schriber of Lapeer, MI; stepdaughter, Karen Sue (Brian) Avenall of Mt. Morris, MI; brother, Eugene Pool; 22 grandchildren; and her 7 great-grandchildren.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Majorie Pool; and her brother, David Pool.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 21, 2019 at the North Goodland Baptist Church of Imlay City. The family will be available for visiting from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the North Goodland Baptist Church.
