MLAY CITY — A unique opportunity to peek back into local history will take place at the Ruth Hughes Library on Thursday, March 21 from 6-8 p.m.
Staff and colleagues at the Tri-City Times—your hometown newspaper—will be on hand with bound books containing copies of the paper dating back to the 1980s and beyond. A glimpse into the pages reveals the local issues of the times, names and faces you may recognize, and the plethora of local retail and other businesses that thrived in the area.
Fun, family-oriented, hands-on crafts and games are planned as well.

Tri-City Times staff will visit the library with a stack of old newspapers and family-friendly, hands-on activities on March 21. photo by Maria Brown.
Visitors will also enjoy delicious, homemade appetizers served up on newsprint deli paper.
All are welcome to stop in the library, meet Tri-City Times and library staff, peek back in time through the newspaper pages and have some fun with family while enjoying the written word. There is no charge for the event.
