DRYDEN — Dryden picked up a 49-27 victory over visiting Carsonville-Port Sanilac in a non-league varsity boys’ basketball encounter on Tuesday, February 5.
With the final, Dryden improves to 10-4 this season.
In Tuesday’s encounter, Dryden jumped out to a 17-5 advantage after one quarter was complete and widened the gap to 23-8 at the half.
When play resumed, Dryden continued to pull away. Aided by an 11-4 third quarter edge, the Cardinals went up 34-12 with 24 minutes gone.
The final eight minutes saw both teams manage 15 points, leaving Dryden with a 49-27 win to celebrate.
Jack Kaplan (27 points, including a pair of trifectas) led Dryden that evening. The Cardinals also had Kody Livingston (six points, featuring a trey), Ronny Hudson (six), Brady Czape (five, with a triple), Nate Schenkel (four) and Coulter Waite (one) reach the scoring column.
