IMLAY CITY — Imlay City downed host Algonac, 56-36, in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity boys’ basketball confrontation last Friday night.
With the decision, Imlay City improves to 6-5 and 3-6. Algonac slips to 0-14 and 0-9.
In Friday’s confrontation, Imlay City opened up a 15-11 edge after one quarter was done and widened the gap to 27-21 at halftime.
Imlay City then outscored Algonac 29-15 from that point on, closing out a 56-36 win.
Mitch Allen led Imlay City with a 13-point performance. Lonnie Wolford (nine points), Logan Wilson and Parker Lewis (eight each), Hunter Medrano (six), Riley Bertram (four) plus Maleke Thompson, Manny Ortiz and Chris Cezik (two apiece) supported his performance.
