Sheila Cooke, age 58, of Lum, MI died suddenly Monday, January 21, 2019 at McLaren Lapeer Region Hospital. Sheila Marie Cooke was born March 31, 1960 in Lapeer, MI. She was the daughter of the late Leo and the late Lorraine (Groves) Cooke. Sheila was a graduate of the Imlay City High school, Class of 1978. She and Ronald Dale Swain have been together for 42 years. Sheila loved being a Grandma! She enjoyed gardening, camping, being outdoors in the sun, and riding in the dune buggy.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Swain; one daughter, Ronda (Paul) Smith of Imlay City, MI; one son, Tony (Ashley) Swain of Lum, MI; her sisters, Shelly (Glen) Kowalski of Lum, MI and Sherry (Brett) Vollen of Allenton, MI; and her brother, Kenneth Cooke of Lum, MI. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Levi, Mason, Gavin, Kaylub, Ty, Jack and Temperance. Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Lorraine Cooke.
The funeral services will be at held at 1 p.m., Friday, January 25, 2019 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI. Pastor Jerry Schriber of Farmland Ministries will officiate. Burial will follow at Arcadia Township Cemetery in Lum, MI.
The family will be available for visitation 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Friday, January 25, 2019 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City.
