DRYDEN — The Dryden varsity girls’ basketball team continues to succeed, this time posting a 58-11 victory over host Mayville in a North Central Thumb League contest last Friday night.
With the result, Dryden goes to 7-1 and 5-1.
In Friday’s contest, Dryden charged out to a 22-2 advantage after one quarter was over with.
The middle two quarters saw Dryden add 30 total points and Mayville nine, increasing their cushion to 52-11 with 24 minutes gone.
Dryden then outscored Mayville 6-0 the rest of the way, good for a 58-11 win when the final buzzer sounded.
Hannah Peyerk paced Dryden with 20 points. Ella Kage (12 points) hit for double figures as well. They were backed by Ally Sobek (nine points), Jordan Peters, Kelli Schenkel and Paige Abromaitis (four apiece), Natalie Poirier (three) and Kylie DeVlaminck (two).
Sobek (10) and DeVlaminck (seven) supplied Dryden’s highest rebound totals.
Dryden also received seven steals and four assists from Kage
