The PIX Theatre is proud to announce January’s edition of our monthly radio show, Solid State Radio Live at the PIX slated for Friday, Jan. 11 at 7 p.m. These shows are filled with fun, music and comedy and we’ve partnered with Lapeer’s own Solid State Radio to broadcast them live. Please join us and be a part of the live audience as comedian Steve Hansen and Rich Clark take the stage. Returning to keep us all on track is Solid State Radio Live host Mitch Gill.

Detroit’s Steve Hansen performs regularly at venues throughout Michigan and has opened for Tom Papa, Tom Simmons, and Darrin Rose. He is also a co-host of the 5ive Gears Internet Radio Show on the Podcast Detroit network on Thursday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. Steve describes his comedy as “a bit cranky, definitely self-deprecating and a bit dark. I’ve been told it’s ‘smart,’ but I’m not going out of my way to make it intellectual. I find humor in things that annoy and frustrate me. Most of my material is short bits based on things that happen in my life. I don’t do a lot of one liners, but I have some.”

Rich Clark is currently singer, guitarist and primary songwriter for Clark Country Drifters—a group he describes as “whiskey-fueled outlaw Southern rock fused with Americana roots sounds.” Their debut album, To Road’s End, was released earlier this year.

Mitch Gill, host for Live from The PIX, was born and raised in Michigan, and he has been a professional announcer for more than 25 years. He was a disc jockey on the radio for 13 of those years. While in radio he held the positions of morning host (which made the most of his outgoing and fun personality), and production director (which took advantage of his voiceover and production skills).

There is no cost to get your tickets for the Solid State Radio Live series, but it is recommended to reserve tickets in advance, as seating is limited in the theatre. To get your ticket, please visit the PIX Box Office located inside Gallery 194, Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Tickets may also be reserved over the phone at 810-664-4824 or online at www.centerfortheartslapeer.org.
